Cerulean Eclipse, 2026
Watercolor on archival paper
I’m excited to share that I’ve donated Cerulean Eclipse to the @arthritisfoundation_la Halloween party, Bone Bash, tonight in Hollywood, CA!
This original mandala painting will be auctioned to help support the Arthritis Foundation and the incredibly important work they do. I’m grateful to be able to contribute in my own small way.
A very special thank-you to @pictureframingco_weho for generously donating the absolutely gorgeous framing! I’ve had a lot of art framed over the years, and this is some of the finest work I’ve seen
If you’d like to donate to the foundation, there’s a link in my bio.
Thanks!

Human Organism, 1998
Watercolor, sandpaper, collage, colored pencil, gouache on paper
9.77 × 7 in.
A vintage piece from 1998! A little mortality, identity, time and absurdity, all stitched together.
I always love painting monsters, they give form to the strange, bizarre, and unresolved things we carry around. Kind of like the relatives we’ll see over the holidays!
Available now on RonBraverman.com, and Happy Halloween!
And yes, the framed mock-up is AI, my BOO!

Supreme Celestial Color Mapping
18 × 18″ plus matting and frame
(Framing mockup created with AI.)
Last week I saw Wynton Marsalis and his band perform part of John Coltrane’s A Love Supreme at the Hollywood Bowl. The music was a reflection of Coltrane’s spiritual awakening. As it played, I found myself imagining colors and shapes. Many of those moments found their way into this piece.
The large circle becomes the song, the smaller circles become its structure and musical phrases, repeating and answering one another are like instruments. Cool blues and warm oranges trade phrases, while red punctuates the rhythm like a sharp brass note. The blending of color becomes the improvisation.
Like A Love Supreme and themes in my works this piece focuses on repetition, variation, tension, release and chance.

Mandala in Nine Parts, 2026
Watercolor on cold-pressed archival paper
Each artwork: 10 × 10 in.
Installed: 42 × 42 in.
When I was ten or eleven, I was cleaning up after painting and carried the artwork from our bright kitchen into a darker hallway. As the light changed, I noticed the darker tones darkening, the lighter areas was catching what little light remained, and the composition seeming to shift in mood. It was mesmerizing!
This nine-piece mandala has a personality of its own. In morning light, on cloudy afternoons, and beneath studio lights, the art seems to change… in bright light, it feels bold and exuberant. In lower light, it becomes quieter and more subdued.
Available now at RonBraverman.com — link in bio.
