I have been working on this canvas since 1990, I will stop now. 33 years in the making, this painting, “Blue Moon” has craters and crevice to explore. I have been painting over it for decades because I have been dissatisfied with the work until now.
The work was started by @marilynminter in 1987, who has singed the back of it. In 1990 I was living in NYC and was working that the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I couldn’t really afford canvases so when I saw this one in the garbage I took it out and brought it home and started working on it.
